The Story
Globally the social impact sector has taken on the challenge of solving some of the world’s most complex problems across sectors such as education, poverty reduction, health, water and sanitation, livelihoods, climate change, gender and many more.
In India, the social impact sector has seen tremendous growth in recent years, with social sector funding growing at a rate of 11% over the past five years (India Philanthropy Report 2019). Employment in this sector, too, has been on the rise, with opportunities arising in areas such as impact investment, development sector consulting, monitoring & evaluation.
The opportunities are tremendous but in order to create solutions to these myriad challenges we need to develop a purposeful ecosystem that leads to systemic change.
Arthan, has been creating and curating platforms to build Thought Leadership in the social impact space bringing together experts, specialists, funders, practitioners, social entrepreneurs, policy makers, philanthropists and more to engage in dialogue, and discuss solutions to build the ecosystem for the future. Our thought leadership segment includes online and offline conferences, roundtable discussions, workshops, masterclasses and research and knowledge pieces to name a few.
Thought leadership events
Some thought leadership platforms we have organised in the past are:
Arthan Annual Human Capital Conference - Arthan’s annual conference organised in December every year designed for the leadership within the sector, looking to find solutions to existing challenges and designing organisations for the future. We have so far had two editions of this conference.
Demystifying Social Impact Careers Series - This series is a collaboration between Arthan, The Amani Institute and International Innovation Corps (IIC) to debunk myths surrounding social impact careers. There have been three editions of this series so far in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.
